Anonymous asked: I have a pregnancy question. If I'm spotting in the beginning of my pregnancy, can I (and should I) still have sex? Will intercourse exacerbate the whatever's causing the spotting?

The answer to this question depends on the cause of the spotting. I wouldn’t do a thing until you know what is going on in there. For example, bleeding caused by placenta previa can become worse with intercourse.

I’m probably sounding like a broken record here, but it’s a good idea to see your OB or other health care professional (NP, midwife) to determine a cause before risking sex if you are spotting.
