Bio
I am a registered nurse with a bachelor’s degree and ten years of experience in a variety of settings. I am passionate about health education and explaining medical issues in language normal people can understand.
I contributed a chapter to Leave No Nurse Behind, Nurses Working With disAbilities.
Prior to nursing, I was an emergency veterinary assistant for four years, and was a state and federally licensed wildlife rehabilitator specializing in birds, from songbirds to raptors. I rescued and re-homed parrots during that time, and did some parrot training as well.
My life is all about health care, animals, nature, and writing. I live with two border collies and a couple of African grey parrots.
All posts are based on current medical information along with my personal opinion. I do not give medical advice. I am here to share health education and insight into the American health care system.
